Spot on. I suspect choking off access or metering it will be the big play. Hook people on the promise and charge for access as model brokers. The pressures on data lakes and ocean costs will have a forcing function to the end consumer leaving open source tools high and dry on the beach. I’ve written a piece on the pressure to open source data oceans but see no movement in that direction.
