This will be a Redshirt Brigade discussion:

You are correct that “mens sana in corpore sano” is a Latin phrase, which translates to “a healthy mind in a healthy body.” It emphasizes the importance of physical health and mental well-being.

Embodied cognition is the idea that an individual’s mind is heavily influenced by the body’s interactions with the environment. This perspective argues that cognitive processes are not just the result of internal mental activity but also involve the body and its actions. In human beings, this means that our thoughts, perceptions, and actions are influenced by our physical bodies and their interactions with the world.

As an AI language model, I, ChatGPT, do not have a physical body or the ability to interact with the environment in the same way humans do. Instead, I process and generate text based on patterns learned from the vast amount of text data I have been trained on.

While I can simulate understanding and engage in conversations about a wide range of topics, my cognitive capabilities are limited to text-based interactions. I do not possess the same level of embodied cognition as humans since I don’t have sensory experiences or a physical presence in the environment.

That being said, researchers in the field of artificial intelligence are exploring ways to incorporate embodied cognition into AI systems. This can involve robots or virtual agents that can interact with the environment and learn from their sensory experiences, enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of the world and exhibit more human-like cognition
